Account Executive, Odyssey Financing Platform (Remote)

The Account Executive serves as the primary interface for the clients of Odysseys’ financing platform, and is responsible for ensuring they have a superb experience managing their programs. The Account Executive will launch and facilitate mini-grid, solar-home system, improved cookstove, and productive use financing initiatives on the Odyssey software, as well as support commercial financiers who use Odyssey to power their distributed renewable lending portfolios. Finally, the Account Executive will assist in the management of strategic initiatives as required by the company.  The Account Executive will report to the Director, Strategic Accounts and will work closely with VP, Strategic Initiatives.

You bring strong presentation skills and can run meetings independently and effectively with key stakeholders. 


Responsibilities


  • Support account management teams with client management, stakeholder consultations, and other client/partner engagement activities as needed

  • Translate client’s financing program design into custom version of the Odyssey software, anticipating and solving for their particular reporting, data, and process needs

  • Ability to prepare and present compelling software demonstrations

  • Have frequent meetings with stakeholders to facilitate their use of the software

  • Complete follow-ups from meetings and coordinate with different teams at Odyssey to deliver to clients

  • Work closely with the business development team to maintain and develop relationships with clients

  • Work closely with other internal Odyssey teams to respond to other client needs, communicate opportunities, and ensure a consistently excellent user experience

  • Client management and ongoing relationship management; Act as a first point of contact for a portfolio of investor, bank, DFI, and donor clients

  • Offer account management services and support for clients in particular through Odyssey platform, including setting up and configurations of programmes and applications 

  • Oversee and improve financier client experience on the platform

  • As a trusted advisor to financiers, help resolve gaps in monitoring



Skills/Qualifications


  • University Degree in a related field (Public Administration/Public Policy, Project Management, Finance, Renewable Energy, International Development/Studies, Environmental Studies, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability etc.)

  • 3-5 years in implementing renewable energy projects or client management with a strong hold on how to give clients a great experience

  • Experience working for Management Consulting firm in various delivery roles desirable

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Experience facilitating and/or deploying capital into energy and infrastructure projects or experience of working on projects in emerging/ frontier markets (especially Sub-Saharan Africa and the Asia-Pacific) is a plus


Job Location


Flexible: Odyssey offers remote working, but this position will coordinate with clients in Africa so there will be a strong preference for candidates located in an African country.
