Finance Analyst, Odyssey Energy Solutions


The Finance Analyst serves as the primary point of support for the financial operations and compliance needs of the Company. The Finance Analyst is responsible for ensuring seamless financial processes and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing day-to-day financial tasks, including Accounting, preparation of financial statements and analysis, while also preparing and overseeing purchase orders (POs), sales orders (SOs), payment follow-ups, and compliance documentation.


The Finance Analyst will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, tax compliance, and ERP (preferably Zoho) management, while also collaborating with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure operational excellence. Additionally, the Finance Analyst wxill contribute to strategic financial initiatives as required by the company. This position reports to the Financial Controller and works closely with other internal teams to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.

Responsibilities


  • Support finance and operations teams with managing financial processes, compliance documentation, and stakeholder consultations as needed.

  • Prepare and manage Purchase Orders (POs), Sales Orders (SOs), Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), and ensure compliance with e-way bill requirements.

  • Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations, timely payment follow-ups, and accurate invoice processing.

  • Assist in configuring and maintaining ERP systems (preferably Zoho) to align with organizational needs, ensuring accurate financial data and reporting.

  • Conduct frequent meetings with stakeholders to address financial queries, provide updates, and facilitate their understanding of financial processes.

  • Complete follow-ups on financial and operational tasks, coordinating across departments to meet deadlines and deliver results.

  • Collaborate closely with the business development team to maintain and strengthen relationships with key suppliers, clients, and stakeholders.

  • Support internal teams by addressing financial needs, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and ensuring consistent quality in financial operations.

  • Act as the first point of contact for resolving financial issues, discrepancies, and monitoring gaps.

  • Oversee and continuously improve the financial experience for stakeholders by enhancing processes and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial services.

  • Provide detailed financial insights and assist in bridging any compliance or operational gaps within monitoring and reporting frameworks.



Skills/Qualifications


  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline. 

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related roles, with a strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, regulatory compliance, and ERP systems (preferably Zoho).

  • Additional Experience: Experience working in roles involving coordination with multiple stakeholders, such as suppliers, customers, or internal teams, is desirable. Prior experience in implementing financial processes or working in fast-paced organizations is advantageous.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple financial processes and timelines.

    • Proficiency in ERP systems, financial reporting, and compliance frameworks.

    • Preferred Experience: Familiarity with managing financial operations in emerging markets or exposure to infrastructure or renewable energy sectors is a plus


Job Location


Flexible: Odyssey offers remote working, but this position will coordinate with clients in Asia & Africa so there will be a strong preference for candidates located in India.
